The aim of the Tenterfield Shire Council Code of Meeting Practice is to achieve:-

Council and Committee meetings which are orderly, efficient and earn the respect of the community.
Council and Committee meetings which display open government and allow access and particpation by the community.
Standards which promote and contribute to the democratic process.
